Carrilet II leaves Girona with the certainty of an old railway. The grade stays gentle while the landscape changes from urban edge to villages and cork-oak country, finally reaching the Mediterranean. That slow transformation makes the route satisfying: no single viewpoint has to carry the day because the whole line keeps changing.
